Christmas Eve 2008

Now that Jake is old enough to understand Christmas, Doug and I wanted to make sure that we establish some family traditions of our own. For Christmas Eve we all went to Christmas Eve service at our church, then Doug the boys and I came home and had a picnic dinner on the floor in front of the fire. The boys each got to open one gift from eachother (Ornaments) and hang them on their trees in their room. We then put Luke to bed and Jake helped me hang our stockings for santa and set out his cookies and milk. We ended the night with the story of Christmas and baby Jesus next to the tree. It was such a special night as a family.
