I guess you can say Doug and I have a secret on our hands that it is time to share. No I am not pregnant :) After lots of thought and prayer Doug and I have decided to relocate up to Central California. The town is called Oakhurst and it is about 10 minutes from Bass Lake and it is at the base of Yosemite. Doug is in the process of submitting his transfer to the Fresno CHP office. Our two main reasons for this move is one,we will live very close to one of the most beautiful lakes in California. Many of you know that living near a lake has been a dream of Doug and I for a long time. Second reason is that the housing market is MUCH cheaper up there, so I will be able to stay home full time with Jake.
We are not sure of when the relocation will actually take place. Waiting on the state can be a little tricky. :) Hopefully we will have a better idea in the next couple of weeks. Doug has spoken to a sergeant in Fresno and he believes the transfer will not take more than a year, because the office needs officers. So all that being said our house is on the market. Doug nor I want to be in a situation where they transfer him and Jake and I are stuck here trying to sell our house.
This is a very exciting and stressful time for us so all of your prayers for Gods will would be so appreciated. Please don't hesitate to call us if you want to talk about it :)

Holy Moly!!!! I'd love to talk more in person but wanted to let you know I'm excited for you guys because moving away is a big step and a new adventure. I guess I'll have a good reason to visit Bass Lake next summer!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! That's exciting for you guys! You've gotta do what's best for your fam. We are headed to Bass Lake for vacation this Dec. You know you will always have good friends and family to visit here in Rancho. We love you guys...you will be missed.

Hey! We have stopped for a short vacation in Bass Lake the past two summers. It is such a beautiful lake! I'll be praying that everything falls into place for you guys with this big move. We'll make sure to call next time we're traveling through Bass Lake on our way to or from Oregon.
